I have grandkids age 2 1/2 to 12….the older kids have drones but they are too hard for the little guys (2 1/2 and 5) to operate easily. This works well fro kids that age. Plus the extra battery is a really nice detail, well worth the money!

My son bought this with his own money and I helped by trying to find a good one for him and this is it! The drone comes with 3 batteries so he keeps switching them out as he needs them and charging them. Super easy to hook up in such a way that it doesn’t seem like he will break it. The drone flies really well and AFTER he read the booklet that came with it he realized that he could do a flip with the drone as well as increase the speed. It is a high pitched drone whine, which is to be expected. It came with replacement propellers but they seem to be protected fairly well that I don’t know if he will need them.

This is a kid friendly and a good beginner drone. The whole family can have fun with this. The LED light helps find the direction in which it’s flying. It’s cage is also useful in protecting from crash. My kids are enjoying flying this drone. The speed adjustment is a good feature, especially for beginners. Overall, it’s a good drone that I would recommend for kids and beginners.

We bought this as a birthday gift for our son the result being that he fell in LOVE with it. It has been all over the place in our house and in my parents cabin. It being light weight it gets pushed around pretty easy by the outside wind so best to keep it indoors. Indoors it is awesome it has run in to walls, chairs, tables, and many more things we have yet to have replace any of the propeller blades. We do wish that the batteries would last longer than they do but for the price it is pretty much what’s to be expected. Just to tell you one of his favorite things to do with the drone is trying to land it on a target usually a random shelf or a spot on a table that his sisters choose for him. We have loved the fact the he loves it and we would definitely recommend this drone.

This is a great first Drone option for kids. I suggest ages 8+. My kids and husband loved it and had a blast. The extra sets of chargers come in handy since drones usually only run for a few minutes off a charge. Customer service was also excellent when our Drone was having issues within the year. I’d recommend!

The mini Drone is amazing and I love how compact it is and the battery life is surprisingly long I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with a little boy it passes Time 4 hours it only takes a a little over an hour to get it fully charged but it is most definitely worth it for in size I buy a lot of drones and by far if you’re looking for one on a budget this one is the one to go for I can’t get it out of my sons hand

I bought this drone for a sixth birthday gift. I was a little unnerved when the box arrived and was labeled ‘age 14 and up’ but reading the reviews here reassured me.A young child can easily operate this drone, and although it doesn’t do a lot of tricks — or take videos — it’s a good tool for learning basic drone operation, and a lot of fun too. Warning: it is loud, so you might want to take that into account if you have kids/dogs/cats/etc who are sensitive to noise.

My husband has a big expensive drone that he flies all the time and my kids want to fly it but he won’t let them! so my daughter begged for her own drone for Christmas and I liked this one because of the cages around the blades, for two reasons first of all my kids can’t touch it when it’s moving and hurt themselves and they also can’t hurt the blades, on the bigger drones the blades bend and then they don’t work anymore so this was a really cool idea! My daughter is only four so we have to help her a little but she does a really good job keeping it up and it has a long enough battery to go for long enough period of time that she actually gets bored and is done playing with it before it runs out of juice.

The controls for this little drone are intuitive and straight forward. This offers good bang-for-the-buck, and is more responsive and easier to control than a much more expensive RC helicopter (which was broken on day 1).Overall, I would recommend for anyone wanting a starter drone or option for their kids to just mess around with that is less expensive and more resilient than other options.

I was pleased with the simple, easy controls for this small drone. My 9 year old was able to fly it immediately. Good value for the money and the extra batteries and not having to wait for the drone to recharge between flights since the batteries are removeable is a big step up!

With quarantine and lockdown, this is a creative purchase for your child, niece/nephew/ grandson/grandaughter…I even had fun with it and I have one myself! This is a mini drone and the controls are pretty easy. the battery life is little over 5 minutes. The battery is bit harder to remove, beside that its really fun and recommend it.

Love this product. We have bought other drones in the past and they were junk. This little guy is so easy to use that my 7-year-old was able to master the flight within the day. The extra battery packs allow for extended playtime and easy to hook up. This drone is also very durable. I ran it into a tree and thought for sure that I shattered it to pieces. To my surprise not even a scratch. I would most definitely recommend this product if you are searching for a drone that is affordable and will last.

The H823 mini Drone was a terrific gift for my 11 year old son. It was easy to setup and he started playing with it right away. He flew it through some obstacles, and created a whole flying obstacle course for the drone. It was really easy for him to learn how to control it; landings, takeoffs, flying around corners. I recommend it highly for your kids.

I had pretty low expectations for this drone based on all other mini drones and indoor helicopters I’ve ever used. Usually they are hard to control or break within the first day. I had written this off as one or two days of fun before self destructing just like all the ones in the past. But this little guy is super stable, super easy to control, crash proof and well built. My 7 year old picked it up really fast and is loving it. Run time is longer than expected too, and having 3 batteries allows you to pretty much keep going as long as you want. The prop guards are sturdy and really make it crash tolerant. It’s pretty hard to even crash it really, even when running into walls. Remote has good range too, even when not in line of sight with the drone. This is so great I’m buying two more so we can have drone wars 🙂

Was a little worried it would be too hard for my 5 year old because it is rated 14+ but figured we’d give it a try. (He got a drone for little kids last year for Christmas and it was junk.) He got the hang of it pretty quickly and was soon showing all the adults how to pair it and calibrate 😉 Because it’s little, there’s the chance of stepping on it and breaking it, etc. but so far so good. It’s a pretty good deal – comes with extra propellers, batteries, tiny screwdriver (more than I expected). Only criticism would be that the battery doesn’t work terribly long.

It didn’t even make the first flight, one rotor is stuck and I am not sure why.4-21-2021 – I have got to say hands down best customer service ever experienced. The emailed me starting in February. I thought it was a scam so I ignored the email. They wrote me again in March and again in April. Sorry Summer. They offered me an upgraded replacement drone at no charge and Followed up after it was delivered. This company will stand behind their products and that is peace of mind for the consumer. Buy with confidence. How is the new drone ? Awesome ! Son loves it!

This drone was a Christmas gift for my 7 year old grandson. He was out in the backyard flying it within an hour of his opening the package. The drone comes with replacement parts. When the package was opened the remote control was missing the back cover. It could still be flown with some masking tape over the batteries. I contacted the manufacturer directly because they emphasized ‘satisfaction guaranteed’. After a timely exchange of a couple of emails a new drone arrived on January 2nd. I think they deserve the 5 start rating because the drone is a unique and kid friendly gift and their customer service was excellent in resolving my issue.

Ordered this for our 9 year old grandson for Christmas. With the help of the instruction video from another buyer’s review, he quickly mastered being able to maneuver the drone and was having fun with it in short order. The three batteries are great as it allowed him more time to play with it before having to pause for the batteries to recharge. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a beginner’s drone.

Bought this for my kid and it has been number one toy for him. Also it is durable, easy to handle and sturdy. Extra batteries and charger are a plus for longer play time and enjoyment. I would say it is definitely a buy over other mini drones available. Just the batteries swell after 3 months or so and fits tightly into the drone. But the seller sent replacement batteries. Awesome seller and product both. Highly recommended.

This is a great product for a younger child who is interested in flying a drone but doesn’t have any experience. The setup and controls are very easy to learn, and it’s almost impossible to screw up or lose the drone. Battery life is decent, and the package came with two extra batteries that you can swap in easily.

I was fortunate enough to find the Snaptain H822 mini drone during a lightning sale — but unlucky in that I didn’t realize how much fun it would be and how I would become a repeat buyer. I gave it to my 21 year old grandson as a Christmas gift and it quickly became THE gift everyone was wanting. Had I known how easy it was to fly, I would have purchased multiples. My almost-eleven grandson turns 11 at the end of this month and he was very clear he wanted a drone exactly like the one I had purchased. He and his father have owned multiple drones but the Snaptain was a stand out to both of them (and yes, I ordered another Snaptain earlier this week for his birthday). The drone is quiet, has exceptional accuracy between the drone and the remote and is easy to maneuver. Based on my viewing AND the number of times I was asked where I bought it and at what cost, I can recommend this drone as a big YES!
